Slovakia is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It is bordered by Chez Republic and Austria to the west, Poland to the North and Ukraine and Hungary to the south. It is known for dramatic landscapes and many castles. Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia. It is a small historical city with its mdeieval castle and the spire of St Martin's Catherdal. Bratislava is inexpensive by camparsion to Western Europe and a great place for a short break.

Attraction Overview

Slovaka has many attractiions and is listed on the UNESCO list of World Heritage.

  • Banska Stiavnica was one of the first towns to be designated as a Town Monument Reserve for its historic structures.
  • Spis region- old town of Levoca and the home of the  medieval artist Master Paul of Levoca
  • Spisska Kapitula is an eccesiastic town, sometimes referred to as the "Slovak vatican"
  • Monument Reserve of folk architecture Vlkolinec
  • Bardejov Town Conservation Reserve
  • Wooden churches of the Slovak part of the Carpathian mountain area.  


The climate in Slovakia is continental with warm dry Summers and fairly cold Winters.
