The Maltese Islands have been described as one big open-air museum. What makes them unique is that so much of their past is visible today. Malta is the largest island and the cultural, commerical and adminstratie, centre. With superly sunny weather attractive beaches and a thriving nightlife, with over 7,000 years of intriguing history there is a great deal to do and see. Gozo is the second largest island and is more rural , characterised by fishing, tourism, diving centres, crafts and agriculture. Malta offers the perfect backdrop to a wedding or honeymoon with its year - round sunshine, crystal waters and luxurious resorts.

Malta has a Mediterranean climate with very mild winters and warm to hot summers. Rain occurs mainly in winter, with summer being generally dry.
